Type: Non valved Airific™ Mask designed to block nano particles on the inhale and exhale

Materials: All-natural and organic fabric in outer and inner layers (cotton, hemp, linen and flax), eletrospun nanofibre media middle layer

RESPIRATORY MASKS CONFORMANCE TESTING

The Airific™ consists of printed outer and inner layers with middle layer of highly efficient nanofibre media for >99% of nano particles. It purifies both inhaled as well as exhaled air.

NIOSH certifies respirators for occupational safety when administered through OSHA Compliant Respirator Safety Program to include Fit Testing on each worker. The Airific™ is marketed directly to the public for general use. For this reason, NIOSH does not certify the Airific for medical or workplace.  However, the Airific™ shows high conformance to US standards in testing. The technical detais below provide conformance testing and certificates to support Airific™’s product safety and efficiency.

Conforms to standards in testing at Nelson Labs, USA.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Airific™ is designed as a face mask for blocking particles and is marketed for general use without fit testing on each mask wearer.

Particle Penetration Efficacy

>99% for Particle Size 0.1 micron

This procedure was performed to evaluate the non-viable particle penetration efficacy of the test article. Testing was performed in compliance with US FDA good manufacturing practice (GMP) regulations 21 CFR Parts 210, 211 and 820.

Breathing Inhalation & Exhalation Resistance

The use of a nanotech fibre media is what sets the Airific™ apart from other face masks – it’s all about comfort now since we’re forced to wear facemasks over extended periods of time.

This procedure was performed to evaluate the differential pressure of the sponsor supplied product. The air exchange differential or breathability was measured for inhalation resistance using NIOSH procedure TEB-APR-STP-0007 and exhalation resistance with NIOSH procedure  TEB-APR-STP- 0003 (with the exception that the product was not a respirator). All test method acceptance criteria were met. Testing was performed in compliance with US FDA good manufacturing  practice (GMP) regulations  21 CFR Parts 210, 211 and 820.

The inhalation resistance is an initial inhalation not exceeding 4.4 mm water column height pressure. The exhalation resistance is an initial exhalation not exceeding 2.2 mm water column height pressure. The test articles submitted by Airific™ conform to this NIOSH criterion for airflow resistance. See Test Report

Fit

The efficacy of a mask depends on a good seal around the nose and mouth.  This is the reason that the Airific™ is available in 5 sizes.
